We dry it, mill it, and tell you where it came from.
Fresh rhizome bought from growers in four districts of Central Java. Washed, sliced, dried down to export moisture, then either bagged as slices or milled to powder in our own mill. Ginger, turmeric, galangal, cinnamon.
Powder, milled here
Most buyers want powder, and most powder on this market has been through three hands before it reaches an exporter. We mill our own from slices we dried ourselves, so the lot number on a bag of powder traces back to a specific dry.
Moisture on every lot
Dried to export moisture and measured before packing. Under-dried spice arrives mouldy after four weeks in a container, and that is the most common way these shipments fail.
Small lots welcome
Most exporters here start at a full container. We will do 50 kilos by air for a buyer who wants to see the goods before committing to a tonne.
A small buying area
We buy from Wonosobo, Temanggung, Magelang and Semarang regency. Four districts, a few hours apart, which is small enough that we see the crop in the ground and know which grower a lot came from.
Ask for a price
Prices move with the harvest, so there is no list. Send us these four things and we will come back with a figure and what we actually have on hand.
